Thursday 24th October Taize 7pm
Saturday September 21st Annual Gift Day in the Church from 11am to 1pm. Church members are invited to call, make a donation and have Coffee/Tea and a chat. This event replaces the Annual Coffee Morning in the Lockerbie town Hall.

Sunday 29th September 1pm BBQ for neighbours, friends and Church members in the Church grounds or in the Church if wet. The Wardens can still cook outside under the gazebo! Neighbours will be invited to meet the Rev Paul and family and we hope we can say thank you to the Clergy who have helped us during the interregnum. The BBQ will follow shortly after the11.15 Morning Service is concluded.
Sunday 6th October 11.15am Joint Harvest Festival Service with St John’s Moffat to be held at All Saints Church. Following the Service we will be providing soup, and rolls followed by tray bakes/biscuits, tea and coffee.
We will as usual be filling shoeboxes as our harvest gifts. Leaflets have been ordered from Blytheswood Care.
Sunday 24th November 11.15am Short Communion Service followed by All Saints Church Annual General Meeting. This will be kept as brief as possible but we need to hear about our financial matters and elect our Vestry and officials.
Sunday 22nd December 11.15am Service of Carols and Lessons (without Communion)
Tuesday 24th December 6pm. Christmas Eve Service and Communion followed by festive drinks and eats(mulled wine and mince pies!)
Friday the 7th December. Concert featuring Lanholm Sings at 7.00pm at All Saints’
Thursday 13th December Taize Service 7pm
Sunday 16th December. Service of Lessons and Carols.
Monday 24th December. Sung Eucharist at 6.00pm followed by refreshments.

March 23rd CHRISM MASS AT ST NINIAN’S CASTLE DOUGLAS LED BISHOP GREGOR Friday 23 March at 12 noon followed by lunch. The Holy Oils to be used in the diocese for the coming year will be blessed and consecrated and clergy will renew their ordination vows. For catering purposes please advise the Rector if you will be attending.

November/ December 2016
November Maggie Macleod goes off to a season of panto (oh yes she does) in Hamilton and Rutherglen
Sunday 27th November. 1st Sunday in Advent. All Saint’s AGM following a shortened Morning Service. This is where you elect your Church officials and vestry members. We also get to see our Annual Accounts and give Ian the chance to tell us how we are doing! If you would consider joining the vestry, please mention it to the Church wardens or John.
Sunday 18th December Nine lessons and Carols 11.15am
Sunday 24th December 6pm Christmas Eve – Eucharist with Carols, mince pies and mulled wine/soft drinks. Please bring alone your friends/family and neighbours for some early Christmas cheer.
Sunday 25th December. Christmas Day – Celebration of Said Eucharist at 8.15am.4
Dates for Autumn 2016
We have completed one of the major elements of our Mission Action Plan with the removal of the church pews and development of a more flexible church building. We now have the opportunity to hold a variety of events and the ‘Dates for the Diary’ brings forward details of those events the Autumn.
Saturday 24th September will be a very important ‘GIFT DAY’ This replaces our annual Coffee Morning in the Town Hall. Please come along on the 24th between 11am and 1pm, have a coffee or tea and a chat and make your donation to the Church.
Sunday 25th September ‘Bring a Friend’ gives us an opportunity to welcome someone you know to our form of worship. Refreshments will be served after the Service
Thursday 13th October sees us modifying the church to provide a catwalk for a Red Cross Fashion Show. The evening event should be great fun and provide funds for our Church and other important causes.
Saturday 29th October 7pm sees us with an evening of Shakespearean drama. Maggie Macleod and other volunteer will read, recite, act and perform a host of parts. Musicians and budding bards needed please contact Maggie. It will all be great fun though no doubt tragic and hilarious. Almost certainly there will be props and bits or costume.
Following the Shakespeare evening Maggie goes off to a season of panto (oh yes she does) in Hamilton and Rutherglen. We hope to organise a group from All Saints to go and see her in the pantomime. News of the later (see website)
All Saints are setting up a stall at the ‘turning on of the Christmas lights’ in Lockerbie on Saturday 19th November.
